EPA Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule
In response to industry concerns, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has agreed to delay enforcement of the Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP) that went into effect last April. Firms now have until October 1 to submit firm certification applications to the EPA, and renovation workers now have until September 30 to register for training. Now all training must be completed by the end of this year. Washington State Energy Code
Our association has scheduled training for the new Washington State Energy Code that will go into effect on July 1. The classes are set for Wednesday, April 28, and Tuesday, May 11, and will be held at MBA Housing Center in Bellevue. Washington State University's Energy Program is training people statewide and has graciously agreed to make stops in Bellevue for our members.
